This painting was done en plein air on a beautiful spring day in the mountains of Colorado. It was delightful to paint on such a crisp, fresh morning to the music of a swiftly flowing stream!

Tracy Haines Art,fine art, paintings, landscapes, Colorado, winter ,acrylics, original, modern contemporary art,
Dog and I traveled this icy, slippery path around Lair of the Bear. I had a small box of pastels in hand and a few small pastel panels. By the time I left later that morning, my rear end was snow and mud-covered , clothes were paint-stained and muddy too. But what a great and fun morning adventure.
This piece was an acrylic done from the pastel study.
