California Coastline ( EB 127) is an 8x10 oil on 1/4" masonite prepared with PVA sizing followed by 3 applications of gesso.
This is just one of the many scenes I happened upon on my recent plein air painting trip to Carmel, California. A little slice of heaven is the entire region around Carmel, isn't it? Loved the calm and quiet against the active and noisy parts of the sea, the lone cypress taking it all in, and the warm greens of the surrounding land.
