Neighborhood stroll is a 5x5 oil on canvas. I walk this path regularly with my dogs Rex and Ren. Loved the light gleaming off that gorgeous willow and the contrasting colors of the willow with the path.
Below is the wonderful start of a poem to go with it by my dad, musician, entrepreneur and poet, Ted Haines:
Creek ice edging here and there below the shadowed
Bank above the creek where bundled snow will add its
Watered weight to overflow and flood the valley's
Wild shrub still painted now in ruddy tinge.
